Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced HVAC/R Maintenance Technician for an opportunity in the Brandon/Valrico area.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, with experience performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and completing mechanical repairs in a commercial or large-facility environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC and refrigeration systems.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues related to HVAC equipment.

• Inspect, maintain, and service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment.

• Respond to maintenance requests and address equipment malfunctions.

• Assist with maintaining building mechanical systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.

• Complete assigned maintenance tasks while following established safety procedures.

• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of HVAC/R service or maintenance experience required.

• Experience working with commercial HVAC systems strongly preferred.

• Experience maintaining HVAC equipment in large commercial facilities is a plus.

• Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) preferred.

• Experience with high-rise HVAC systems is a plus.

• EPA certification required.

• Additional refrigeration certifications are a plus.

• High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.

Compensation

$22.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
