Express Employment Professionals Northshore is seeking an experienced Controller (CPA) for a growing mid-sized company in Livingston Parish. This leadership role reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial operations while providing strategic financial guidance to support company growth and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, inventory accounting, and general ledger auditing
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures
• Partner with department managers to provide insights on cost analysis, production margins, and inventory management
• Coordinate audits and ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements
• Collaborate with executive leadership on financial strategy, cash flow management, and capital investment decisions

Qualifications

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and standard costing systems
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop accounting software required
