Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Chef Helper to assist a chef with daily kitchen operations. The ideal candidate must have 5+ years of experience working alongside a chef and be knowledgeable in food preparation, kitchen organization, and food safety.

MUST HAVE 5+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

Responsibilities

Assist the chef with daily food preparation and cooking tasks.
Wash, peel, chop, slice, and portion ingredients as needed.
Prepare ingredients according to recipes and the chef’s instructions.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen workspace.
Ensure proper food storage and follow food safety guidelines.
Monitor ingredient inventory and notify the chef when supplies are running low.
Assist with plating and preparing meals as needed.
Follow kitchen procedures and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

MUST HAVE AT LEAST 5+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE working in food preparation alongside a chef.
Previous experience as a chef helper, prep cook, or kitchen assistant.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to follow directions and work well as part of a team.
