Pay: $20.00 per hour + $1.00 overnight shift differential ($21.00/hr total)
Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM with ability to work mid shift if needed
About the Opportunity
Express Employment Professionals – Southeast Phoenix is partnering with a hotel in Scottsdale to hire an experienced Night Auditor to support overnight hotel operations. This evaluation-to-hire opportunity is ideal for a hospitality professional who enjoys working independently, has a strong understanding of hotel front desk operations, and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records while providing exceptional guest service.
We are seeking someone with hands-on hotel night audit experience who is comfortable balancing daily transactions, preparing financial reports, managing guest needs, and handling the unique responsibilities of an overnight shift.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and confident managing both financial responsibilities and guest interactions with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities

Perform nightly audit procedures to ensure accuracy and completion of daily hotel transactions.

Balance and reconcile guest accounts, credit card transactions, payments, and daily revenue reports.

Identify and resolve billing discrepancies, posting errors, and transaction inconsistencies.

Prepare and distribute daily financial, occupancy, and operational reports.

Complete end-of-day procedures using hotel property management systems.

Welcome and assist guests with late-night check-ins, early check-outs, and reservation inquiries.

Process guest payments, credit card transactions, and incidental charges accurately.

Respond to guest concerns, de-escalate challenging situations, and resolve issues professionally.

Monitor overnight activity and follow established hotel safety and security procedures.

Communicate important updates and unresolved issues to the incoming shift.

Maintain accurate records and ensure the front desk is organized and prepared for the next business day.
Qualifications

Previous hands-on hotel Night Auditor or front desk experience required.

Experience performing nightly audits, reconciling financial transactions, and preparing daily reports.

Proficiency with hotel property management and reservation systems.

Strong understanding of guest accounts, payment processing, credit card transactions, and end-of-day procedures.

Basic accounting knowledge and strong numerical accuracy.

Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.

Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and guest de-escalation skills.

Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and make sound decisions during overnight hours.

Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.

Comfortable handling late-night guest requests and unexpected situations professionally.

Availability to work overnight shifts from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

High school diploma or GED required.

Dependable, punctual, and committed to providing exceptional guest service.
Please Note: This position requires previous hotel night audit experience, including financial reconciliation and end-of-day reporting. General front desk or customer service experience alone does not meet the qualifications for this opportunity.
