Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper / Room Attendant to join our hospitality team. This position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, organization, and overall guest satisfaction by ensuring guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas meet company cleanliness and quality standards. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, enjoys working independently, and is committed to providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests.

Key Responsibilities

Cleaning & Housekeeping Duties

• Clean and tidy assigned guest rooms, bathrooms, common areas, hallways, and other designated areas.
• Change bed linens, make beds, and ensure guest rooms are properly prepared for occupancy.
• Vacuum carpets and sweep, mop, and maintain various floor surfaces.
• Dust, clean, and polish furniture, fixtures, and room amenities.
• Replenish guest room supplies, toiletries, linens, and other amenities as needed.
• Empty trash containers and dispose of waste properly according to company procedures.
• Inspect rooms and work areas to ensure cleanliness, quality, and presentation standards are met.
• Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment, and supply areas in an organized manner.

Safety & Quality

• Follow all company safety policies, cleaning procedures, and hospitality standards.
• Identify and report maintenance concerns, damages, or safety hazards to management promptly.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Ensure guest rooms and public areas are cleaned and sanitized to company standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.

Team Support

• Work collaboratively with housekeeping staff, supervisors, and other hotel team members.
• Prioritize tasks efficiently to meet daily room cleaning and turnover schedules.
• Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with guests.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support hotel operations.

Qualifications

Required

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull housekeeping supplies and equipment as needed.

Preferred

• Previous housekeeping, custodial, hospitality, hotel, or cleaning experience.
• Experience cleaning guest rooms, commercial facilities, or residential properties.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning procedures, sanitization practices, and floor care techniques.
• Experience working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
