Purchasing Specialist
Express Employment Professionals on 99th and Fort Street is currently recruiting for a Purchasing Specialist to join a local manufacturing company in Omaha, NE!
Position Details:
Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Location: Omaha, NE
Pay/Salary: Up to $35.00 per hour
Job Duties:
Serve as the primary buyer for a small manufacturing company.
Purchase materials and components for production jobs while adhering to approved budgets.
Source parts from approved vendors to secure the best pricing and availability.
Monitor and manage inventory levels to support production needs and minimize shortages.
Update and maintain part numbers and job processes as product and supplier information changes.
Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, lead times, and order status.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Previous purchasing, procurement, or buying experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Strong understanding of inventory management and supply chain processes.
Ability to compare pricing, availability, and lead times to make cost-effective purchasing decisions.
Proficient with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
