Facilities Maintenance Technician

Location: Lexington, SC

Pay:$21/HR

Express Employment is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to help keep our Lexington, SC facility safe, efficient, and operating at its best.

Reporting to the Manager, EH&S and Maintenance, youll play an important hands-on role in maintaining our facility, equipment, and grounds. This is a great opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting, solving problems, and making a direct impact every day.

What Youll Do:

-Inspect facility, equipment, and grounds to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and opportunities for improvement.

-Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and facility-related issues.

-Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, component replacements, and general facility upkeep.

-Complete carpentry, mechanical, security system, basic electrical, and plumbing tasks within the scope of your qualifications.

-Read and interpret work orders, determine material and equipment needs, and organize supplies for assigned projects.

-Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.

-Inspect and maintain assigned equipment and small tools and perform minor repairs as needed.

-Operate vehicles and equipment in accordance with safety procedures and report mechanical issues requiring additional attention.

-Complete work orders, incident and accident reports, supply requisitions, and other required documentation.

-Respond to emergency cleaning and repair needs when required.

-Assist with facility setup and teardown for special events.

-Maintain a safe, clean, and well-functioning work environment for employees and visitors.

Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

What Youll Bring

-2+ years of facilities maintenance experience

-Strong operational and technical skills with an understanding of functional standards

-Experience troubleshooting and repairing facility systems and equipment

-Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite

-SAP experience preferred

-Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

-Valid drivers license

-Ability to obtain certification to operate powered industrial vehicles

-Ability to stand for extended periods and perform hands-on physical work

-Ability to lift 40+ pounds
