CNC Operator

Salary: 26 - 29 Per Hr.

 

Our client, a steel tubing processing center located on the west side of Detroit, is seeking an experienced Skilled CNC Machine Operator to join their team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating HAAS CNC machines, a strong understanding of G-Code, and the ability to edit existing CNC programs to ensure accurate and efficient production.

Job Responsibilities

• Set up and operate HAAS CNC machines to process steel tubing according to production specifications.

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and machining instructions.

• Read, understand, and edit G-Code and existing CNC machine programs as needed.

• Adjust machine settings, tooling, and offsets to maintain product accuracy and quality.

• Monitor machine operations and inspect finished products for dimensional accuracy and defects.

• Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments to maintain production efficiency.

• Perform routine machine checks and assist with basic equipment maintenance.

• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

• Meet production goals while maintaining quality standards and minimizing material waste.

Requirements

• Previous hands-on experience operating HAAS CNC machines is required.

• Must understand G-Code and be able to edit CNC programming.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

• Knowledge of machining processes, tooling, offsets, and precision measurements.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work a 12-hour shift and mandatory overtime on Saturdays as needed.

• Reliable attendance, attention to detail, and commitment to workplace safety.
