Peddinghaus Beamline Operator (Temp-to-Hire)

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Peddinghaus Beamline Operator to join a structural steel fabrication team. This role is responsible for operating a Peddinghaus 1250 DG saw and PCD1100C drill line to process structural steel used in heavy fabrication projects. Candidates should have previous experience operating Peddinghaus equipment and be comfortable working with large steel members in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Peddinghaus beamline and saw equipment.
• Process structural steel materials including wide-flange beams, HSS/tubing, channels, and angles ranging from 20' to 60' in length. 
• Read and interpret shop drawings, cut lists, and production schedules. 
• Verify material size, length, hole locations, and finished products for accuracy and quality.
• Load and unload material using appropriate material handling equipment. 
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting. 
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment while supporting production goals. 

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a Peddinghaus machine is required. 
• Experience operating CNC beamline equipment, structural steel fabrication machinery, or similar production equipment preferred. 
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Ability to read and interpret structural steel drawings and fabrication prints.
• Comfortable handling large and heavy structural steel materials. 
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently.
