Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler / Shipping & Receiving Associate to support daily warehouse and logistics operations. This position is responsible for receiving incoming materials, accurtately measuring and inspecting received materials according to spec using tools such as micrometers and calipers, preparing shipments including accurately counting parts needed for order, loading and unloading trucks using Standing/Sit Down Forklift and/or Pallet Jack. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment in various temperatures as dock doors remain open majority of the shift.

Hours: Monday-Thursday 5AM - 3:30PM, and every other Friday 10AM - 12:30PM; Background & Drug Screening required.

Key Responsibilities

Receive, inspect (including measuring with tools such as micrometers/calipers), and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
Load and unload trucks using stand/sit forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
Accurately store materials and products in designated warehouse locations.
Prepare customer orders for shipment, verifying count etc.
Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and inventory transactions.
Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and documentation of outgoing shipments.
Follow all company safety policies and warehouse procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
Coordinate with production, purchasing, and customer service departments as needed.

Skills Required

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to read shipping documents, packing slips, and inventory records, measure received materials using micrometer/calipers.
Basic computer skills and data entry experience.
Forklift operation skills for a stand-up/sit down, (certification preferred or willingness to obtain).
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of inventory control and warehouse procedures.

Experience Required

1-3 years of warehouse, shipping & receiving, or material handling experience preferred.
Experience operating standing/sitting forklifts and material handling equipment preferred such as micrometers/calipers.
Understanding Quality Control Specs in a manufacturing setting.
Manufacturing or distribution environment experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and twist throughout the workday.
Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment.
Capability to work in a warehouse or manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.
Ability to climb ladders and work around moving equipment when necessary.
