Job Title:  Safety Specialist

 

Pay:  $20/hr

 

Work Schedule:  Mon – Fri, 1pm – 0:30pm

 

Location:  New Albany, MS

 

Job Description:

• Assess floor hazards for the new process and help document safe work practices as they're established
• ·         Serve as the onsite point of contact for safety questions from supervisors and crew
• ·         Respond to and document workplace incidents, including coordinating emergency medical response when needed
• ·         Support and reinforce safety training for second-shift employees
• ·         Monitor PPE use, housekeeping, and lockout/tagout compliance, and verify that authorized TLM employees are following LOTO procedures
• ·         Answer general HR questions from second-shift employees and route anything else to the HR and Safety Specialist or People and Talent team
• ·         Maintain incident documentation and safety records for the shift                    

Requirements:

• ·          Current CPR / First Aid certification 
• ·         Prior experience in sawmill or heavy mfg experience preferred
