Hotel Houseman

Pay Rate: $14.50 per hour

Job Summary: We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Houseman to join our hotel team. The Houseman is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of public areas, assisting the housekeeping department, and ensuring guests have a positive and comfortable experience throughout their stay.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Clean and maintain hotel lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells, and other public areas.
Deliver linens, towels, toiletries, and other supplies to housekeeping staff and guest rooms as needed.
Assist housekeepers with removing trash, stripping rooms, and transporting linens.
Restock housekeeping closets and supply areas.
Respond promptly to guest requests, including delivering amenities and extra supplies.
Set up and move furniture, equipment, and meeting room arrangements as directed.
Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and damaged property to management.
Support laundry operations when needed.
Follow all hotel safety, cleanliness, and customer service standards.
Work cooperatively with housekeeping, maintenance, and front desk staff.

Qualifications:

Previous hotel, housekeeping, janitorial, or maintenance experience preferred but not required.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Dependable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
Ability to work on feet for extended periods throughout the shift.
