Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 per year
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 1 shift - Occasional weekends or off-shift support as needed

About the Opportunity

Our client, a growing food manufacturing company in Tampa, is seeking a Planning & Warehouse Operations Manager to lead production planning, inventory control, and warehouse operations. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring materials, production schedules, and warehouse activities are aligned to support customer demand and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have experience in production planning, inventory management, warehouse operations, ERP systems, and team leadership within a manufacturing environment. Food manufacturing experience and bilingual Spanish skills are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Inventory Management

• Develop and manage daily and weekly production schedules based on customer demand, forecasts, and plant capacity.
• Run MRP planning and coordinate material requirements with purchasing and operations teams.
• Monitor inventory levels to maintain service goals while controlling costs and minimizing waste.
• Maintain accurate planning data, including BOMs, yields, lead times, and safety stock levels.
• Identify material shortages and potential production risks and implement proactive solutions.
• Track and report production schedule attainment and inventory performance metrics.

Warehouse Operations

• Oversee receiving, storage, inventory control, shipping, and distribution activities.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliations, and physical inventories.
• Manage carrier scheduling, shipping documentation, and customer deliveries.
• Enforce FIFO/FEFO practices, lot traceability, and warehouse organization standards.
• Oversee forklift operations, equipment inspections, and preventative maintenance programs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency and accuracy.

Compliance & Leadership

• Ensure compliance with HACCP, SQF, GMP, OSHA, and company safety standards.
• Support internal and external audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Lead, coach, and develop warehouse and planning team members.
• Monitor labor costs, overtime, freight expenses, and warehouse-related budgets.
• Track key performance indicators including inventory accuracy, on-time shipments, fill rates, and productivity metrics.

Qualifications

Required

• 5+ years of experience in production planning, inventory control, warehouse management, or supply chain operations.
• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience working with ERP systems, inventory transactions, cycle counts, and production planning.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills.
• Knowledge of HACCP, SQF, GMP, and OSHA standards.
• Ability to obtain HACCP and forklift certifications if not currently certified.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.

Preferred

• Food or beverage manufacturing experience.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field.
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
• Forklift Trainer certification.
