Job Overview: As an Aircraft Assembler, you'll play a crucial role in the higher-level assembly of the world's most advanced fighter aircraft. As an Aircraft Assembler, you will perform a variety of operations to manufacture, assemble, and refurbish aircraft parts and structures, ensuring a defect-free product.

Requirements 

Basic Qualifications:

·         Basic experience with reading blueprints and interpreting specifications and/or technical publications.

·         Basic experience with basic hand tools (drills, torque wrench and inspections tools), as well as ability to use precision instruments.

·         High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Desired skills:

• Basic experience with locating holes from blueprints by hand layout, tooling jigs, engineering prints, and/or technology-based platforms.
• Basic experience in sheet metal manufacturing, and/or assembly.
• Focus on Quality, Safety, Schedule and Cost
• Ability to work well in a team environment as well as be a self-starter
• Attention to detail
• Aircraft Assembly experience

Responsibilities

• Interpret and learn blueprints and work instructions to accurately assemble components.
• Utilize and learn precision measuring equipment to verify dimensions with tolerances up to .001”.
• Perform hand drilling and installation of aircraft-specific fasteners.
• Complete part-fitting operations, including minor filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, drilling, reaming, riveting, countersinking, and cold working.
• Learn to drill close tolerance holes, measure parts with a variety of methods to verify dimensions
• Work with a team to meet production times and support Lockheed Aero Operations
• May modify or repair assemblies to incorporate engineering changes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule & Pay:

·         $18 -$30/ Hr  DOE

Education:

·         High School diploma Experience:

·         Must have 2 year experience

Language:

·         Ability to understand, speak, and read English clearly.
