Advanced Automation Builder Job Summary:

Full-time job opportunity for an experienced Technical Assembler to join a furniture manufacturer in the Grand Rapids area. This company is a leading manufacturer of Automation Components and Equipment and they are looking for a mechanical assembler to join their team

 

Advanced Automation Builder Requirements:

• Perform all aspects of aluminum extrusion machine assembly and inspection
• Identify and solve problems in the various segments of machine assembly
• Transfer engineering drawings and schematics into mechanical assemblies.
• Operate mill, saws, drill press, tappers, and hi-lo
• Ability to fabricate parts from aluminum extrusion and raw materials
• Proficient operation of small power and hand tools
• Machinery rigging and shipping
• Measurements with tape measures and calipers (both inch and millimeter units)
• Additional opportunities for candidates with machine automation skills

Schedule & Pay:

• 1st shift 6:00am-2:30pm Monday - Friday with overtime as needed
• $27.00/HR

Advanced Automation Builder Qualifications:

• High school diploma, or equivalent
• Preferred skills include technical classes in high school or post-secondary
• Experience in a complex assembly operation preferred
• Basic computer knowledge
• Strong math and measuring skills
• Ability and motivation to maintain good attendance, high productivity and a positive attitude
• Ability and experience to earn a forklift permit
