Production Line Lead
Rate: $20.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM
Location: Barron, WI
Position Overview
Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Production Line Lead for a well-established cheese production facility in Barron, WI. This position is responsible for supporting daily production operations, coordinating production activities, maintaining quality and safety standards, and assisting with team leadership on the production floor. Candidates with manufacturing, production, factory, assembly, quality control, or food production experience are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production line activities to help ensure production goals and schedules are met.
- Prepare production lines for daily startup and operations.
- Support pre-shift and post-shift meetings regarding safety, production goals, and expectations.
- Communicate staffing plans, production objectives, and operational updates to team members.
- Maintain accurate production records, reporting, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with GMPs, SOPs, quality standards, and food safety requirements.
- Monitor workplace safety and report concerns to management.
- Coordinate with maintenance, shipping, receiving, and production personnel to support daily operations.
- Assist with staffing coverage and personnel assignments.
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to safety, quality, and production efficiency.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 4+ years of manufacturing or food production experience.
- Previous leadership, line lead, team lead, or production lead experience preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Computer proficiency and ability to learn company software systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
Work Environment
This position works within a cheese manufacturing and production environment where safety, quality, sanitation, and teamwork are essential. Employees should be comfortable working in a fast-paced production setting while maintaining attention to detail and operational accuracy.
