Forklift Driver

Pay: $19.00/hr.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5pm

Job Description: We are currently looking for a qualified Forklift Driver for a company located in Hardeeville, SC. 

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate counterbalance or other forklift equipment to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse or yard
• Transport pallets and materials to designated storage locations or loading docks
• Stack and organize inventory in racking systems, ensuring proper weight distribution and stability
• Load and unload trucks/trailers accurately and efficiently
• Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections and report mechanical issues
• Verify shipment counts against packing slips or bills of lading
• Follow all safety protocols, including speed limits, horn use, and pedestrian right-of-way
• Maintain clean and organized work areas free of obstructions

Qualifications:

• Previous forklift operating experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment preferred.

• Forklift certification or ability to complete required operator training and evaluation.

• Experience operating sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, or other powered industrial equipment is a plus.

• Knowledge of forklift safety procedures and OSHA regulations.

• Ability to safely load, unload, stack, and transport materials throughout the facility.

• Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory management, and material handling preferred.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.

• Familiarity with RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), and inventory tracking is a plus.

• Ability to perform daily forklift inspections and report equipment or safety concerns.

• Strong attention to detail when handling materials and verifying inventory accuracy.

• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.

• Flexibility to work overtime or weekends as needed.
