Yard Worker/Chainsaw Operator

Pay: $18.00/hr.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:30am-3pm

Job Description: We are currently looking for a qualified Chainsaw Operator for a company located in HHI, SC. 

Responsibilities:
Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping order
• Transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility
• Loading and unloading goods
• Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
• Stacking goods in the correct storage bays
• Follow inventory control instructions
• Checking loads are secure
• Stacking empty pallets
• Performing daily equipment checks
• Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in yard work, landscaping, lumber yards, tree services, or general labor preferred.

• Experience safely operating chainsaws and other outdoor power equipment preferred.

• Knowledge of proper chainsaw handling, cutting techniques, and safety procedures.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50–75 lbs as needed.

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.

• Familiarity with basic chainsaw maintenance, including chain inspection, sharpening, and proper equipment care.

• Ability to identify potential hazards and follow established safety procedures.

• Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and chainsaw-rated protective gear.
