Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal to join our legal team. This pivotal role involves providing comprehensive support in various real estate transactions, legal research, document management, and client communication. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in legal procedures related to real estate law and a broad understanding of related legal disciplines such as estate planning, environmental law, and project management. Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with drafting, reviewing, and managing real estate documents including contracts, deeds, title reports, and closing statements.
  • Conduct thorough legal research on topics such as land use regulations, zoning laws, UCC law, and other relevant statutes.
  • Manage case files using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw; ensure all records are accurate, organized, and up-to-date.
  • Coordinate with clients, title companies, lenders, and government agencies to facilitate smooth transaction processes.
  • Prepare and review legal correspondence, pleadings, and reports; proofread for accuracy and clarity.
  • Support project management efforts by tracking deadlines, milestones, and compliance requirements across multiple cases.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion while maintaining professionalism in all client interactions.
  • Assist with litigation support including document review for civil litigation or general & commercial litigation cases.
  • Conduct legal research utilizing Westlaw or LexisNexis to support case strategies or transactional due diligence.
  • Support attorneys with administrative tasks such as scheduling interviews, managing calendars, and preparing reports.
  • Maintain knowledge of procedural law and stay current on developments in areas such as tribal law & regulations or workers' compensation law.

Requirements

***must have real estate closing/transaction experience***

  • Paralegal experience with a focus on real estate law; familiarity with estate planning, environmental law, UCC law, or securities law is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in legal support software including PCLaw, iManage, Westlaw, LexisNexis, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong research skills complemented by excellent writing and proofreading capabilities.
  • Knowledge of legal administrative practices such as filing systems, document review procedures, and client communication protocols.
  • Familiarity with procedural law across various jurisdictions; experience supporting civil or commercial litigation is preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while demonstrating professionalism at all times.
  • Effective communication skills combined with phone etiquette suitable for diverse client interactions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
