Accountant – Public Accounting Experience

 

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an Accountant with public accounting experience for an exciting opportunity with a local employer. This role is ideal for someone with a well-rounded accounting background who enjoys working with financial records, analyzing numbers, and handling a variety of accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and accounting records
• Perform general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
• Review financial data, identify discrepancies, and help resolve accounting issues
• Assist with tax preparation, tax filings, and audit support as needed
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Provide bookkeeping and general accounting support
• Assist with additional accounting duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a public accounting firm required
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, tax preparation, or a combination of these areas
• Familiarity with financial statements, account reconciliations, and general accounting principles
• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
