Maintenance Technician

Binghamton, NY $20-$23/hour | Full-Time Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM + On-Call Rotation

A well-maintained multi-building residential community is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to work directly with the Property Manager in supporting day-to-day property operations. This is a hands-on role focused on apartment turnovers, resident work orders, preventative maintenance, and grounds upkeep.

Responsibilities

• Complete apartment turnovers including painting, repairs, cleaning, and preparation for new residents
• Respond to and complete maintenance work orders in a timely manner
• Perform basic repairs involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and general maintenance
• Maintain the overall appearance of buildings and grounds
• Assist with lawn care, landscaping, snow removal, ice control, and debris cleanup
• Remove trash and maintain common areas
• Operate and maintain hand tools and power equipment safely
• Secure buildings and report safety or security concerns
• Follow company procedures and safety guidelines while maintaining an organized work environment

Qualifications

• Experience in apartment, commercial, residential, or facilities maintenance preferred
• Ability to troubleshoot and complete routine repairs independently
• Comfortable using hand tools and power tools
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred

Physical Requirements

• Regular standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
• Ability to perform medium to heavy physical work throughout the day
