Senior Production Supervisor

Lead Production. Drive Performance. Build Teams.

 

A growing dairy manufacturing operation in the Southern Tier is seeking an experienced Senior Production Supervisor to oversee production operations for the night shift. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, employee development, and continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

 

This opportunity is ideal for a production leader who enjoys developing teams, solving operational challenges, and working cross-functionally to achieve manufacturing goals.

 

Pay: $40/hr, w/ OT available

Schedule:

  • 6p-2a (can be adjustable as long as you cover most of the night shift)
  • OT available
  • M-F, Weekends as needed

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise production teams across multiple shifts, ensuring safe, efficient, and consistent operations.
  • Drive daily production performance through effective communication, coaching, accountability, and problem-solving.
  • Partner closely with Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, Sanitation, and Plant Leadership teams.
  • Conduct daily production meetings and communicate priorities, expectations, and operational updates.
  • Monitor production metrics, quality standards, labor utilization, and operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, regulatory, and workplace safety requirements.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and improve performance.
  • Review staffing needs, attendance, scheduling, and timekeeping accuracy.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities that enhance productivity, quality, and reliability.
  • Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of supervisory or production leadership experience within food, beverage, dairy, or FDA regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of production operations, quality systems, and food safety standards.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, develop employees, and drive results in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience analyzing production performance metrics and implementing process improvements.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; additional technical or industry training is a plus.

Preferred Experience

  • Dairy, food, beverage, or consumer packaged goods manufacturing experience.
  • Experience working with quality management systems, food safety programs, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Background supporting continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence programs.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 60 lbs.
  • Ability to work in varying production environment temperatures and conditions.
