Machine Operator – All Shifts

Location: Greensboro, NC
Schedule: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, including 2-2-3 rotating schedules
Pay: $16.00–$18.00 per hour, based on machine operating experience

Express Employment Professionals is hiring experienced Machine Operators for full-time manufacturing opportunities in Greensboro. These positions involve setting up and operating production machinery, monitoring output, inspecting products, and maintaining accurate production records.

We’re looking for candidates with strong mechanical aptitude who can follow established procedures and maintain consistent quality throughout their shift. A minimum of 2 years of machine operating experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery and equipment according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Set up machinery for assigned production runs and monitor equipment throughout operation.

• Inspect products to ensure they meet production requirements and quality standards.

• Monitor output for defects, inconsistencies, or deviations from specifications.

• Report product defects, equipment concerns, and production issues to the appropriate supervisor.

• Perform routine machine and production checks to maintain consistent output.

• Maintain accurate production records, logs, and required documentation.

• Use computer systems for production tracking and documentation.

• Follow safety procedures and immediately report unsafe conditions.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

• Assist with additional production and manufacturing duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of machine operating experience required.

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence working around production machinery.

• Ability to follow SOPs, written production instructions, and safety procedures.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.

• Comfortable with frequent computer use and accurate production documentation.

• Ability to recognize and report product defects or production concerns.

• Dependable attendance and punctuality.

• Availability to work the assigned schedule and overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and move frequently throughout the shift.

• Frequently bend, kneel, reach, and perform hands-on production duties.

• Occasionally lift or move 20–50 pounds, or exert 20–50 pounds of pushing force.

• Work around manufacturing machinery and equipment for extended periods.

• Perform repetitive production tasks while maintaining quality and accuracy.

Shifts & Hours

Available schedules include:

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM

• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM–12:00 AM

• 3rd Shift: 12:00 AM–7:00 AM

• 2-2-3 Rotating Day Shift: 5:00 AM–5:00 PM

• 2-2-3 Rotating Night Shift: 5:00 PM–5:00 AM

The 2-2-3 schedules include rotating workdays and weekends. Overtime may be required based on production needs.
