Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Make-Ready Technician for a local apartment complex in Conroe, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing vacant apartment units for new residents by performing general maintenance, repairs, and cosmetic improvements. Key Responsibilities

• Inspect vacant apartment units and identify necessary repairs or maintenance.

• Perform general repairs, including drywall patching, painting, caulking, and minor carpentry.

• Repair or replace fixtures, door locks, blinds, cabinets, and other apartment hardware.

• Perform basic plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, and minor leaks.

• Assist with minor electrical repairs, such as replacing outlets, switches, and light fixtures, when qualified.

• Inspect and troubleshoot appliances and report any major repair needs.

• Complete apartment make-ready checklists and work orders within established deadlines.

• Ensure units are clean, functional, and ready for new resident move-ins.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized manner.

• Assist the maintenance team with additional property maintenance tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous apartment maintenance or make-ready experience preferred.

• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and general repairs.

• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple work orders.

• Ability to work independently and complete assignments efficiently.

• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks, including bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods.

• HVAC experience is a plus but not required.
