Express Employment is partnering with a leading automotive parts manufacturer seeking a dependable Welder. This is a hands-on MIG welding role focused on welding parts for automotive exhaust and emissions components, including catalytic converters and related assemblies.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret blueprints, complex drawings, diagrams, and specifications to determine the appropriate welding process.
  • MIG weld flat, cylindrical, and irregular parts using clamps or other positioning methods.
  • Operate manual wire-feed and automatic welders, selecting the appropriate welding wire, heat, arc, speed, depth, and bead size.
  • Weld overlapping components to fabricate sheet metal assemblies, including heat shields and converter components.
  • Adjust equipment controls, welding gun angles, rotary wheels, and speed settings as needed.
  • Ensure exhaust ventilation is operating during welding.
  • Perform and document production work and rework as required.
  • Inspect metal products and assemblies to verify they meet specifications.
  • Maintain welding accuracy while meeting designated quality and production standards.
  • Follow lockout/tagout procedures and all established safety requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule and Pay

  • Mon-Thurs 6:00am-4:00pm 
  • $21.00/hr

Requirements

  • Welding industry experience with skills in MIG welding and fabrication.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and blueprints.
  • Basic math, measurement, and computer skills
  • Must be able to work in an environment that is not temperature controlled
  • Comfortable lifting up to 50lbs
  • Drug test
  • Background check
