We are seeking a dependable, safety-focused Rail Processing Operator to work in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. This position operates equipment used to process steel rails, including a plasma cutting torch, overhead rail bender, overhead crane, and steel banding equipment.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined, comfortable working around heavy steel and industrial equipment, and looking to build manufacturing experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a plasma cutting torch to split steel rails according to work orders and specifications.
• Set up and operate an overhead rail bender to straighten processed steel rails.
• Operate an overhead crane to position and move rails throughout the work area.
• Bundle and secure finished steel rails using steel banding equipment.
• Inspect rails for quality, straightness, and proper specifications.
• Perform basic equipment checks and routine maintenance.
• Report equipment or production issues promptly.
• Read and follow work orders and basic measurements.
• Complete required production records and documentation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work closely with supervisors and other team members to meet production goals.
• Follow all required safety procedures, including PPE and lockout/tagout practices.
