Sit Down Forklift Driver – 3rd Shift

We are currently hiring Forklift Drivers for a leading manufacturing facility. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with the potential for direct hire after 60 days for associates who demonstrate strong attendance, performance, and a commitment to safety.
Pay & Schedule
Starting Pay: $21.34/hour
Regular Shift:
- 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Current Production Schedule:
- Overtime is currently being worked
- Saturday work is required based on production needs
- Associates should expect 12-hour workdays during overtime periods
Training Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates must be able to complete the required training schedule:
- 3 weeks on 1st Shift for onboarding and training
- Approximately 5 additional weeks of training on 3rd Shift
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and alternate schedules as business demands require

Job Summary
As a Forklift Driver, you will play a critical role in supporting production operations by safely moving raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility. This position is fast-paced, safety-focused, and essential to maintaining efficient production and shipping operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently in a manufacturing environment
- Load and unload production equipment, trailers, and materials
- Utilize scanning systems and onboard computer technology
- Perform daily forklift inspections and safety checks
- Conduct safety inspections of trailers, docks, and dock plates
- Change propane tanks using proper PPE and safety procedures
- Inspect pallets for damage, excessive debris, and structural concerns
- Review shipping tags and manifests to ensure accurate material movement
- Communicate product quality concerns to machine operators and supervisors
- Follow all plant safety rules and actively participate in the facility's safety culture
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Cross-train on additional equipment and duties as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of forklift experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Experience using barcode scanners and inventory scanning systems
- Ability to read shipping tags, manifests, work instructions, and procedures
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand basic English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience moving units without pallets preferred
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
- Ability to sit and operate equipment for extended periods with occasional walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, climbing, and grasping
- Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and flexible schedules as needed
- Must successfully complete a background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen

- Additional safety equipment as required
