Pre-Press Media Technician

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
Pay: $18.00/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Pre-Press Media Technician to support digital printing and production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for preparing, processing, organizing, and managing digital files used in print production while ensuring quality, accuracy, and production efficiency.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working with computers and digital workflows, enjoys problem-solving, and can maintain a high level of accuracy while balancing multiple priorities. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone interested in graphic production, digital printing, production technology, or prepress operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate computer systems and digital workflows used to prepare files for production.
• Process, organize, and manage digital files for print and production output.
• Monitor production systems to ensure quality, efficiency, and accuracy.
• Maintain digital production equipment through cleaning, calibration, testing, and recordkeeping.
• Archive, retrieve, and manage digital production files and backups.
• Verify file integrity and production readiness before output.
• Maintain production standards and quality requirements.
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding production priorities and workflow.
• Assist with troubleshooting digital production issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Support additional production and departmental projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software systems.
• Familiarity with Windows-based computer environments.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Ability to distinguish colors accurately.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

• Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or similar software.
• Experience with digital printing, prepress operations, or graphic arts production.
• Familiarity with workflow management software and production systems.
• Experience in print manufacturing or publishing environments.
• Ability to read music is a plus.
