Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking an experienced Structural Welder/Fabricator for a growing fabrication and installation team. This position is ideal for a skilled professional who can fabricate, fit, weld, and install structural steel and custom metal components both in the shop and in the field.

The ideal candidate will have strong fabrication skills, experience reading blueprints and weld symbols, and the ability to work safely in outdoor and construction environments.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, fabrication drawings, and specifications.
• Fabricate, fit, and assemble structural steel and custom metal components.
• Perform MIG, Stick, and TIG welding to quality standards.
• Install fabricated components at customer job sites.
• Conduct layout, measuring, cutting, grinding, and material preparation.
• Safely operate boom lifts and other field equipment.
• Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and customer requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all OSHA and job site safety regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, welders, and installation crews to meet project deadlines.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of welding and fabrication experience.
• Current AWS D1.1 Certification required.
• Current 3G Welding Certification required.
• OSHA-10 Certification required.
• Boom Lift Certification required.
• Proficiency in MIG, Stick, and TIG welding processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and weld symbols.
• Experience with structural steel fabrication and installation.
• Strong knowledge of measuring, layout, fit-up, and assembly techniques.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation for early-morning job site reporting.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments.
