JOB SUMMARY
Express Employment Professionals in Gonzales is recruiting an Automotive Lube, Tire, and C-Level Technician for a long-term position in Prairieville. In this role, you will handle routine vehicle maintenance, a full range of tire services, and foundational undercar mechanical repairs. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-to-mid-level tech who wants steady shop hours and exposure to specialized services like front-end alignments and auto glass solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI): Conduct thorough digital multi-point safety inspections on every vehicle using a tablet, documenting vehicle conditions, taking descriptive photos, and noting recommended services for service advisors and customers.
- Lube & Routine Maintenance: Efficiently perform multi-point vehicle safety inspections, oil changes, fluid flushes, and filter/wiper replacements according to manufacturer specifications.
- Tire & Alignment Services: Inspect, mount, balance, rotate, and repair passenger and light truck tires. Assist with front-end alignments.
- C-Level Mechanical Repair: Execute general entry-level mechanical work, including brake service (pads and rotors), suspension checks, and battery replacements.
- Shop Support: Assist the dedicated auto glass crew with vehicle prep or cleanup when necessary, maintain a clean service bay, and properly track completed work orders.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Tools: Must possess your own set of basic hand tools and a roll cart/toolbox appropriate for entry-level automotive service and undercar repairs (specialty equipment and heavy machinery provided by the shop).
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in an automotive shop, quick-lube, or tire service center preferred (strong vocational training or proven mechanical aptitude will also be considered).
- Technical Skills: Proficient with vehicle lifts, tire changers, wheel balancers, and standard hand tools. Experience with alignment machines is a major plus.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods and comfortably lift up to 50–75 lbs.
- License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required for moving client vehicles in/out of service bays).
- Reliability: Reliable daily transportation to the Prairieville shop, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
