NOW HIRING: INDUSTRIAL CLEANER – 1ST SHIFT

Location: Cleveland, TN
Schedule: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Position: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are currently hiring Industrial Cleaners to join a manufacturing environment in Cleveland, TN. This position is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and organized work areas throughout the facility.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and comfortable performing physical work in an industrial environment. Previous industrial or manufacturing cleaning experience is a plus, but it is not required.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and scheduled specialized cleaning of floors, walls, ceilings, equipment, work surfaces, ledges, overhead structures, and other facility areas.
Safely remove accumulated metal dust and particulate using approved cleaning methods, equipment, and techniques.
Follow established procedures for handling potentially combustible, hazardous, or regulated metal powders and residues.
Operate approved industrial vacuums and other specialized cleaning equipment.
Perform wet cleaning, HEPA vacuuming, wiping, and other approved cleaning methods as directed by Safety or established procedures.
Properly use required PPE and follow respiratory protection requirements when applicable.
Identify and report unsafe conditions, spills, hazards, or other concerns.
Follow all company safety policies and established procedures.
Maintain clean and organized work areas.
Work independently and as part of a team to complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to follow established safety procedures.
Ability to recognize and report unsafe conditions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail.
Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Ability to properly use required PPE.
Ability to safely perform physical work for extended periods.
Previous industrial or manufacturing experience is a plus.

Preferred Experience

Industrial cleaning or janitorial experience.
Manufacturing or environmental services experience.
Experience with industrial vacuums or HEPA filtration systems.
Experience working around metal powders, combustible dust, chemicals, or other hazardous materials.
OSHA, NFPA, hazardous-material, or respiratory protection training.
Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing facility.

Physical & Work Environment

This is a hands-on position in an industrial manufacturing environment. Candidates must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and perform physical work for extended periods. The position may involve exposure to dust, noise, industrial equipment, and other manufacturing-related conditions. Required PPE must be worn at all times as directed.
