A local Essential plant has an immediate need to fill a Quality Assurance Manager. This position will include but is not limited to planning, coordinating and directing a quality control program designed to ensure continuous production.
Quality Assurance Manager
Oversee all aspects of the Quality Control program, ensuring compliance with food safety, HACCP, and quality standards. Responsibilities include managing QA and sanitation teams, supervising product grading and lab operations, leading food safety audits, maintaining quality programs, providing employee training, and collaborating across departments to support continuous improvement and product integrity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered)
- 5+ years of quality assurance experience in food manufacturing
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of HACCP, food safety regulations, and preventive controls
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
Schedule:
Full-time with overtime as needed, including weekends.
Salary: $85k plus, DOE and Education
