Production Operator

Job Type: Full-Time Industry: Advanced Manufacturing / Composite Materials

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Production Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Production Operator will be responsible for operating production equipment, handling composite materials, following work instructions, and ensuring products meet established quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing and production equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow established work instructions, production procedures, and safety requirements.
• Measure, cut, handle, and process raw materials and composite materials as required.
• Perform assembly, lay-up, fabrication, finishing, or other production tasks according to specifications.
• Inspect materials and finished products for defects or quality issues.
• Use hand tools, measuring equipment, and other production tools as required.
• Complete production paperwork, inspection records, and other required documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Meet established production, quality, and efficiency standards.
• Follow all company safety policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Communicate production issues, equipment concerns, or quality problems to supervisors.
• Work cooperatively with team members and other departments to meet production goals.
• Perform other manufacturing duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, aerospace, composites, or industrial experience is a plus.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to use hand tools and basic production equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to learn new processes and equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to frequently bend, reach, kneel, and perform repetitive movements.
• Ability to lift and move materials and products as required by the position.
• Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and respiratory protection when applicable.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to industrial equipment, noise, dust, and composite materials.

Work Environment

This position is performed in a manufacturing environment and may involve working around machinery, chemicals, composite materials, and industrial equipment. Employees are expected to follow all safety procedures and maintain a professional, clean, and organized work environment.
