Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our team at a prominent distribution center. Responsibilities

• Efficiently pick, pack, and prepare orders using RF scanners and warehouse management systems to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Load and unload shipments utilizing heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes while adhering to safety protocols.
• Operate heavy machinery including forklifts and cranes safely and competently, following OSHA guidelines.
• Handle materials with care during storage, retrieval, and transportation within the warehouse environment.
• Assist in shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipments against documentation and ensuring proper placement.
• Maintain organization of warehouse inventory through regular stock checks and proper placement of materials.
• Support warehouse supervision by following directions for order picking, heavy lifting, and equipment operation.
• Perform routine mechanical inspections on equipment to ensure optimal functioning.
• Collaborate with team members to improve workflow efficiency and safety procedures.
• Follow all safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation, materials handling, and warehouse practices.

Experience

• Prior experience working in a warehouse or distribution center environment is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks safely.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and order picking processes.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic maintenance checks on equipment.
• Experience with shipping & receiving procedures including load & unload activities.
• Strong understanding of materials handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks.
• Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse setting is advantageous but not required.
• Construction or industrial background can be beneficial due to familiarity with heavy machinery operation.
