Resource & Support Specialist

Express Employment Professionals is hiring on behalf of a local non-profit client.

Pay: $16/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Position Summary

The Resource & Support Specialist will provide case management and support services to at-risk youth and young adults ages 15½–25. This position assists participants with overcoming barriers and developing goals that support stable, successful lives.

Responsibilities may include connecting participants with community resources, employment services, job-readiness training, career development, transportation and housing assistance, financial literacy resources, advocacy, mentoring, and peer support.

• Provide case management and develop individualized transition plans.
• Assist youth with employment opportunities, job searches, resumes, applications, and career development.
• Connect participants with community, employment, educational, housing, mental health, and other supportive resources.
• Assist current and former foster youth and youth involved with probation, parole, or juvenile services.
• Build positive relationships with participants and community partners.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential participant records and documentation.
• Facilitate or participate in peer support groups and community activities.
• Provide trauma-informed support using a compassionate, non-judgmental approach.
• Monitor participant progress and update plans as needed.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and community events as required.
• Travel throughout the service area as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth, foster care, CPS, Texas Workforce, case management, or youth services preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build rapport with young people and work effectively with community professionals.
• Computer proficiency required.
• Excel knowledge.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and exercise good judgment.
• Knowledge of community resources is a plus.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and good driving record required.
