Industrial Electrical Engineer

Pay: $28–$34/hour | Full-Time Day Shift | Experience: 2–5+ years

A local manufacturing company is seeking a hands-on Industrial Electrical Engineer with strong industrial electrical experience and mechanical aptitude. This role involves electrical wiring and assembly as well as mechanical assembly, fabrication, and equipment integration.

Responsibilities

• Perform industrial electrical wiring, assembly, installation, and troubleshooting.
• Build and wire electrical harnesses and components.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, blueprints, and mechanical prints.
• Assemble mechanical components, including bolting parts together and assembling chains, sprockets, shafts, and other equipment.
• Install and work with pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders and related components.
• Drill and tap metal and perform basic mechanical fabrication.
• Assemble and integrate electrical and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment safely.
• Follow engineering specifications and assembly procedures while maintaining a safe, organized work environment.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and other team members.

Requirements

• 2–5+ years of hands-on industrial electrical experience — REQUIRED.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, wiring, and components.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, engineering drawings, blueprints, and prints.
• Experience wiring electrical harnesses.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience assembling industrial machinery/equipment.
• Experience with pneumatic and/or hydraulic cylinders.
• Ability to drill and tap metal and perform basic fabrication.
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred: Experience in manufacturing, machinery, automation, or industrial equipment; experience with motors, sensors, switches, control panels, or industrial controls; and formal education/training in electrical technology, industrial maintenance, engineering technology, or a related field.

Important: This is a hands-on industrial electrical/electro-mechanical position, not a purely desk-based engineering role. The ideal candidate will be comfortable building, wiring, troubleshooting, and physically working with industrial machinery and equipment.
