Salary: $24.00 - $26.00 an hr DOE

Seeking a Lead Senior Technician for a local Animal Hospital:

 

Summary

Senior technical and leadership role responsible for maintaining clinical standards, training staff, improving workflow, supporting performance management, and helping the hospital team operate at a high level.

Job Duties:

• Ensure hospital standards and patient-care expectations are consistently upheld.

• Prepare and intubate patients, monitor anesthesia, document vital parameters, and alert the veterinarian to abnormalities immediately.

• Recognize employee strengths, identify development needs, and provide constructive feedback and training.

• Help plan and direct work, improve communication across departments, and resolve conflicts effectively.

• Motivate employees, support morale, participate in performance reviews, and contribute to staff meetings and protocol improvement.

• Generate practical ideas that improve employee performance, hospital growth, and patient care.

Requirements:

• Mastery of technician duties sufficient to train and coach others.

• Excellent verbal and written communication.

• Ability to organize, delegate, coach, mediate, and make sound decisions under pressure.

• Self-awareness, tact, professionalism, and the judgment to know when to escalate to management or a veterinarian.
