We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Maintenance General Laborer to support the Maintenance Department in a manufacturing environment. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for someone who is comfortable using hand and power tools and enjoys hands-on maintenance and repair work.

The Maintenance General Laborer will work alongside Maintenance Technicians to assist with routine maintenance, equipment repairs, installations, facility upkeep, and general maintenance projects. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous apartment maintenance, construction, automotive service, or other hands-on mechanical experience who wants to grow their maintenance skills.
Assist Maintenance Technicians with routine maintenance, repairs, and equipment installations
Perform basic repairs and general maintenance tasks under the direction of maintenance personnel
Assist with minor building and facility repairs
Move materials, parts, machinery, tools, and maintenance supplies
Clean, organize, and maintain maintenance work areas
Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in an orderly manner
Identify and report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, and maintenance concerns
Assist with measuring and calculating dimensions for maintenance projects
Use basic hand and power tools to complete assigned tasks
Follow all company safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements when applicable and properly authorized
Perform additional maintenance-related duties as assigned
Ability to properly use a tape measure and calculate basic dimensions
Basic math skills, including addition and subtraction
Experience using common hand tools such as hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and similar tools
Comfortable using basic power tools
Ability to read and understand basic measurements, diagrams, and technical instructions
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
Ability to follow instructions and work alongside experienced Maintenance Technicians
Previous maintenance, construction, apartment maintenance, automotive service, or similar hands-on experience is preferred
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to safely perform physical and hands-on work in a manufacturing environment
