We are seeking a dependable Cheese Spread Maker to join our food production team in Barron, WI. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in food production, manufacturing, assembly, factory work, food preparation, or quality control environments who enjoy hands-on work and take pride in producing a high-quality product.
As a Cheese Spread Maker, you will help prepare and blend cheese spreads according to established recipes while maintaining strict food safety, sanitation, and quality standards. Attention to detail, consistency, and a commitment to quality are important in this role.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and blend cheese spreads according to established recipes and production schedules
- Accurately measure and combine ingredients to ensure product consistency
- Operate mixers, blenders, scales, and other production equipment
- Monitor product quality throughout the production process
- Maintain production records, including ingredient usage and batch information
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality control procedures
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
- Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, and work areas
- Report quality concerns or production issues as needed
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and PPE requirements
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food production, manufacturing, assembly, factory work, or food preparation preferred
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and maintaining records
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk throughout the shift
- Work in temperatures ranging from approximately 35°F to 50°F
- Regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Occasionally lift up to 75 pounds
- Push and pull materials as needed
- Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, kneeling, crouching, gripping, and grasping
- Wear required PPE including hair/beard nets, gloves, ear protection, and safety glasses

Schedule Information
Current hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
The department is anticipated to transition to a four-day schedule of Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, pending final approval and business needs.
