About the Role

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a full-time Skilled Trades Recruiter for our internal team in Maryland Heights, MO (63146).

In this high-energy recruitment role, you will join Express as an internal team member leading the sourcing, screening, interviewing, and placement of qualified skilled trades professionals (e.g., machinists, welders, maintenance technicians, electricians, and industrial mechanics) for top employer clients across the St. Louis region. What You Will Do

• Candidate Sourcing & Outreach: Utilize job boards, social media, network referrals, and local recruiting channels to source qualified candidates for skilled trade positions.

• Interviewing & Screening: Conduct thorough phone screenings and in-person interviews to evaluate technical capabilities, work history, and culture fit.

• Client & Job Matching: Align candidate qualifications with client requirements, presenting top trade talent to hiring managers across the metro area.

• Recruitment Administrative Support: Draft and post compelling job descriptions, manage applicant tracking systems, verify reference checks, and coordinate onboarding paperwork.

• Relationship Management: Build and maintain lasting relationships with trade school contacts, local workforce boards, candidates, and client partners.

What You Need

• Recruiting or Industry Background: Prior experience in recruiting, account management, talent acquisition, sales, or background within skilled trades/industrial industries preferred.

• Communication & Interpersonal Skills: High-level verbal and written communication skills in English to conduct candidate interviews, collaborate with team members, and interface with client partners.

• Technical Literacy: Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), job search engines, Microsoft Office, and basic database navigation.

• Drive & Work Ethic: High energy, strong multi-tasking skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Reliability: Excellent attendance habits, daily punctuality, and reliable transportation to Maryland Heights, MO 63146.

• Screening: Willingness to complete standard internal background checks and onboarding evaluations.
