We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Logistics & Inventory Associate to support vehicle inventory management and logistics operations in Joliet, IL. This role is ideal for someone with automotive, dealership, inventory control, or logistics experience who enjoys a combination of hands-on work, organization, customer service, and administrative responsibilities.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining an organized vehicle storage lot, ensuring vehicle readiness, coordinating services with vendors, and supporting daily operational activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport vehicles to designated locations on the storage lot.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and vehicle status updates.
• Inspect vehicles and ensure readiness for pickup and delivery.
• Schedule vehicle detailing and other services with third-party contractors.
• Enter and maintain data within CRM and inventory management systems.
• Communicate with staff, contractors, and pickup/delivery contacts via phone and email.
• Coordinate appointments and vehicle movements.
• Verify invoice accuracy and supporting documentation.
• Support lot organization and cleanliness.
• Complete additional tasks necessary to ensure efficient operation of the facility.

Qualifications

Required Education

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in:
  • An automotive dealership,
  • Automotive storage facility, or
  • Automotive service environment.

Logistics, transportation, or inventory control experience may be considered in lieu of automotive experience.

Additional Requirements

• Valid Driver's License.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to safely maneuver and park vehicles in tight spaces.
• Comfortable driving various vehicle types.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
• Ability to regularly walk, stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach while inspecting vehicles and maintaining the lot.

Skills & Abilities

• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems.
• Basic automotive knowledge, including:
  • Jump-starting vehicles
  • Using a tire pressure gauge
  • Identifying visible mechanical concerns and body damage
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable making and receiving phone calls.
• Experience scheduling appointments and coordinating services.
• Ability to review invoices for accuracy.
• Professional email and correspondence management.
