Carpenter

Located in Waltham, MA

Our client, a well-established residential construction company, is looking for a Carpenter to contribute to construction projects under the direction of the Lead Carpenter. This is a full-time Direct Hire position for someone with a solid foundation in carpentry who can complete tasks independently and work effectively with the field team.

Pay: $35–$41/hour

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality carpentry work within allotted time and budget
• Complete tasks independently with minimal direction
• Work under the direction of the Lead Carpenter and assist with project execution
• Assist and provide support to Apprentice Carpenters as needed
• Track hours and materials against project budgets
• Follow production protocols and procedures
• Maintain personal and job site safety
• Keep the job site clean and organized
• Maintain personal tools
• Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, planning staff, and other field staff
• Take initiative to solve problems and continue developing problem-solving skills
• Effectively use current information technology
• Return calls, texts, and emails promptly
• Submit timesheets and reimbursement requests promptly
• Attend and actively participate in production and company meetings
• Be willing and able to fill in for the Lead Carpenter on a short-term basis

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Typically 1–3 years of carpentry experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in most apprentice-level carpentry skills
• Ability to work independently while also taking direction
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively with others
