Pay: $25.00 - $33.00 per hour 
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM
Training: Initial training will be conducted on 1st shift.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Set-Up Operator to join our growing manufacturing team. This role is responsible for setting up, editing programs, and operating CNC lathes and mills to manufacture precision-machined components that meet customer specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with Fanuc controls, blueprint reading, quality inspections, and troubleshooting CNC machinery.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Set up, edit programs, and operate CNC lathes with Fanuc controls utilizing G and M code.
  • Operate and maintain CNC equipment, including Mori Seiki lathes and mills.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Perform machine setups, tooling changes, offsets, and first-piece inspections.
  • Implement and maintain setup sheets and manufacturing documentation.
  • Monitor production runs and make adjustments to ensure product quality and efficiency.
  • Perform quality control inspections using precision measuring instruments.
  • Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and process issues to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System standards.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of CNC setup and operation experience.
  • Experience with CNC lathes required; CNC programming experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Fanuc controls and understanding of G and M code.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of tooling selection, cutting speeds, feeds, and machining practices.
  • Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach throughout the entire shift.
  • Regular lifting and carrying of materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment around moving machinery and equipment.
  • Capable of performing repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
