Part-time Utility Person

Part-time Utility Person Job Summary: A Grand Rapids labeling company is seeking a Utility Person to join their growing team. This position is responsible for performing general labor duties throughout the production area, including organizing, folding, packing, and preparing finished products for shipment. The Utility Person will help keep production running smoothly by assisting with various tasks as needed, maintaining an organized work area, and ensuring products are handled accurately and efficiently.
Part-time Utility Person Requirements:
- Clean-up ink from Press Parts as needed.
- Ensure waste ink is put in the appropriate barrel. (Hazardous & Non-Hazardous)
- Check Core bins and fill as needed.
- Cut cores for Press Operators and Finishing.
- Empty trash cans and gondolas into the trash compactor. (Fork truck and compactor operation required)
- Move pallets from warehouse to outside when needed.
- Check and fill all solvent and cleaning bottles at presses and in rewinding.
- Collect used rags from storage bins at work stations for storage.
- Sweep and use floor cleaner when needed.
- Ability to lift under 50lbs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Schedule & Pay:
- 7:00am-12:00pm; Monday-Friday
- $18.00/HR
Part-time Utility Person Qualifications:
- Ability to perform general labor and production tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to organize, fold, pack, and prepare products accurately
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience is helpful but not required
