OVERVIEW

Seeking a Junior Fabrication Technician to join our manufacturing team. This position supports the fabrication department by assisting with the production and assembly of sheet metal components and fabricated parts. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months of fabrication, manufacturing, or welding experience, or possess a welding certification. Candidates must be able to read blueprints, use measuring tools, operate hand and power tools, and work safely in a fast-paced production environment. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production instructions
• Assist with the fabrication and assembly of metal components
• Measure, cut, prepare, and process materials according to specifications
• Operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, drills, presses, and other shop tools
• Perform deburring, grinding, sanding, and finishing operations
• Conduct quality inspections using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring devices
• Load and unload materials and finished products
• Maintain inventory and organize materials as needed
• Work closely with welders, machine operators, and production personnel
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow all safety policies and required PPE guidelines
• Meet daily production and quality standards

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 6 months of fabrication, manufacturing, welding, or related industrial experience OR completion of a welding certification program
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on feet for extended periods
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills preferred
