Our Pickering client, a wireless test company specializing in the design and production of RF test enclosures and wireless test systems, is looking for an Electronic Integration Technician to join their growing team!

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, integrate, and configure Automated Test Equipment (ATE) racks, RF enclosures, and wireless test systems
  • Install and wire power supplies, circuit protection devices, relays, contactors, I/O modules, and instrumentation equipment
  • Perform point-to-point wiring, cable routing, and cable management according to drawings
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and work instructions
  • Fabricate custom cable assemblies and wire harnesses for power, signal, and control
  • Perform soldering, crimping, connector terminations, shield terminations, heat-shrink installation, labeling, and cable identification
  • Assemble electrical panels, control boxes, electronic assemblies, instrumentation systems, and electro-mechanical components
  • Perform electrical continuity testing, point-to-point verification, and functional testing
  • Troubleshoot wiring errors, defective components, and grounding issues
  • Conduct inspections to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to company quality and safety standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 2–3 years of experience with Electro-Mechanical Assembly
  • Diploma or certificate in Electronics, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or related field
  • Strong hands-on experience in soldering, crimping, and cable assembly
  • Able to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
  • High attention to detail, quality, and accuracy
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience in ATE rack building or working within a test engineering/test technician environment
  • IPC-A-610 and/or IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification (asset)
  • Experience with RF cable assemblies and RF test equipment (asset)
  • Ability to manage and complete multiple overlapping projects

Compensation and Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 8:00am to 4:30pm
  • Pay Rate: $25-30 per hour
