Our Pickering client, a leading international manufacturer and distributor of agriculture machinery, is looking for an Assembly Technician to join their team!

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and repair tractors, attachments, and other equipment according to specifications, work instructions, and customer requirements
  • Assemble national account orders and dealer-requested equipment
  • Build and prepare kits and components for assembly and distribution
  • Inspect assembled equipment to verify proper fit, function, quality, and safety standards
  • Troubleshoot assembly challenges related to parts fitment, missing components, or equipment specifications
  • Dismantle, modify, and reassemble equipment to meet updated specifications
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Parts, Dealer Support, Operations, and Warehouse teams to ensure efficient workflow and product quality
  • Complete Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) and ensure equipment is fully operational prior to shipment
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment safely and effectively
  • Maintain accurate documentation of completed assemblies, repairs, and inspections
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while adhering to company health and safety policies
  • Perform other tasks that may be assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3-5 years of Assembly Technician experience
  • Previous experience in Equipment Assembly, Mechanical Assembly, Heavy Equipment, or a related mechanical environment
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions, technical drawings, and specifications
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and teamwork skills
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience in Agriculture industry (asset)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and solve equipment and assembly issues

Compensation and Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 11:00am to 7:30pm
  • Salary: $50,000 - $57,000 per annum
