About the Position

The Incoming Quality Control (IQC) Team Leader will oversee incoming material inspection and disposition activities to ensure materials meet company quality standards. This position will help coordinate inspectors, manage defective and rework materials, maintain accurate inventory records, and work closely with engineers and the quality team to keep incoming materials moving efficiently.

What You'll Do

  • Receive and verify defective, rework, or dismantled materials coming into the IQC/MRB area

  • Perform visual inspections to identify cosmetic defects and other quality concerns

  • Ensure good and defective materials are moved to the appropriate locations

  • Prepare warehouse transfer tickets and obtain required signatures

  • Maintain accurate inventory and organization within the Material Review Board (MRB) area

  • Coordinate daily activities and priorities for IQC inspectors

  • Provide training and guidance to inspectors on proper material inspection procedures

  • Assist engineers with incoming material inspections and help prioritize inspection activities

  • Identify and communicate material quality concerns and anomalies

  • Maintain accurate documentation and records related to inspections and material disposition

  • Support the overall quality and production goals of the facility

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in Supplier Quality Management, Quality Control, or a related quality-focused role

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and product specifications

  • Knowledge of basic statistical and quality-control tools

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to follow written and visual instructions

  • Basic computer skills for data entry, documentation, and reporting

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Previous experience leading, training, or coordinating other employees is preferred

  • Dependable, team-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

  • Willingness to learn and continuously improve quality and inspection processes

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during inspections
