Industrial Designer

Located in Hudson, WI

Salary: $26.97-$31.45 DOE

Express Employment in River Falls is currently recruiting for a company looking to add a skilled Designer to their team! The Designer would be creating drawings using SolidWorks and produce mechanical drawings!

Location: Hudson, WI

Shift: 7AM-3:30PM (Monday-Friday)

Pay: $26.97/hr-$31.45/hr DOE

Job Duties: 

• Create drawings using SolidWorks software and produce mechanical drawings from 2D & 3D drawings.

• Prepare detailed drawings of intricate design components or units from layout drawings. 
• Construct prototypes and confirm designs with Design/Purchasing team. 
• Research materials required for projects. 
• Prepare bill of materials, shop drawings and programming for flame cut parts.
• Prepare job packets for all production departments.
• Organize and maintain existing design records. 
• Calculate dimensions and specify standard allowances when not stated.

 

Requirements: 

• Education/Experience - College or technical school or 3-6 months related experience
• Technical Skills - Must be proficient with SolidWorks and AutoCAD
• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) or ability to learn
• Ability to read blueprints or willingness to learn.
• General - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook; mathematical aptitude; reasoning ability; collaborates well with others; strong communicator.
• Metal fabrication, welding or machine shop background a plus.

Must be able to commute to Hudson, WI (not a remote role)
