A local pneumatics company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Expeditor to join their team. This position plays a key role in supporting production by ensuring materials and products move efficiently through the manufacturing process. The Expeditor will work closely with buyers, schedulers, vendors, and production teams to help maintain product flow and meet production goals.

Responsibilities

• Work with buyers and schedulers to expedite products and ensure efficient workflow through production work centers
• Contact vendors to track and expedite materials and products
• Support purchasing activities, including pricing updates, PPV reduction efforts, and system maintenance
• Assist with scheduling functions to ensure smooth production flow
• Track materials and investigate past-due orders
• Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy
• Manage defective material tags and related documentation
• Support production orders and packet preparation
• Read and interpret Bills of Material (BOMs) and engineering-controlled documents
• Identify and resolve production and material flow issues
• Work collaboratively with production, purchasing, and management teams

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret Bills of Material and engineering documents
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and follow-up abilities
• SAP experience is a plus
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. occasionally
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to work with hand tools, screws, and gauges
